Frequently Asked Questions

What is your fee?

My rate is $150 per session. A session lasts typically 45-60 minutes. I accept cash, check, credit/debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.

Do you bill insurance?

I do not bill your insurance. However, most clients are able to have a portion of their fee covered by their out-of-network benefits. If you are interested in doing this, reach out to your insurance company for more information. I will be happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

I cannot guarantee insurance reimbursement at any time. You will be responsible for full payment up front.

What hours do you typically hold sessions?

I typically schedule sessions Monday through Thursday. I have sessions as early as 7AM and as late as 5PM. Sessions outside of these hours are open with limited availability. I know scheduling can be tough, and while I cannot promise any appointment time, it is my hope to remove as many barriers as possible for you.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, I offer telehealth through a secure video platform. I am able to offer telehealth services throughout the state of Alabama.

I am thinking about scheduling an appointment, how do I get started?

A person’s comfort level with beginning therapy can vary. I want to make sure you feel good about where we start in order to set us up for success. If you are ready to book an appointment, feel free to reach out via phone or email to schedule a free 15 minute consultation or to schedule an appointment. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

What is a free consultation?

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to those interested in using my services. While it is not required before scheduling an appointment, it can be a good way for us to learn more about one another and for me to hear more about what you hope for from the therapy process. It is a great time to hear more about the approaches I use in therapy, and to see if my availability meets yours.

What if I come to decide we are not a good fit for each other?

This happens! You are welcome to let me know this. If you’d like a list of recommendations of other therapists who might be a better fit, I am happy to supply you one.
