Jessica Grogan, LICSW-S

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Supervisor (LICSW-S). I earned a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Alabama.

Working from a person-centered approach, I desire for each of my clients to experience counseling in a way that is uniquely tailored to their specific needs. With that in mind, I use varying evidence-based practices to walk alongside each client as they seek healing and growth.

I love to come alongside individuals who are battling anxiety and depression and provide a safe place to make sense of life’s challenges. I have experience in trauma-related issues and attachment in both individual and family settings. I enjoy helping families navigate relationships more effectively. I work with parents as they seek to support their children’s growth and health. I am trained in utilizing Theraplay® Level 1 techniques and the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)® model which equips me to support families who have come together through adoption.

I live in Birmingham with my husband and golden retriever. When I am not in the counseling chair, I enjoy visiting local coffee shops, arranging flowers, and reading.
